After two typhoons in our area I asked Aida to check for areas that needed some assistance that were not getting any help from the relief agencies.  On 5 October we went to Delores Baclor and distributed some food & clothing to the families there.  Although most of these people did not have flood waters in their homes, the dyke protecting the farm fields was breached and most of the crops were washed away or destroyed.  Their appears to be a need in this area for long term support, so I'm sure we will go back again soon.  But my main charity will continue to be the old folks home in Angeles.

On 6 October we visited San Felipe near San Fernando.  Getting there was  not easy as it was still a bit flooded.  We distributed food and clothing at two places.  It is amazing how fast 600 pounds of rice can disappear.  We could easily have given away another 1000 pounds without seeing the same people in line.

Thanks to David Lillig, Dr. Allan, Delmar and all our customers that donated clothing, food, or cash for rice to supplement the rice and food we purchased for these needy people.
