BAHAY PAG_IBIG is IMO the neediest charity in Angeles City.  This is the only home for the elderly in the country. They currently have 69 residents that either have no families or have been abandoned by their families.  These old folks are supported entirely by donations which are not really enough to feed & care for the residents.  We try to support the residents & the 15 volunteers that care for them with a hearty meal on a regular basis.  This month both The Wild Orchid and the Orchid Inn joined us by preparing plenty of potato salad and baked macaroni for a picnic lunch. 

More often than not the afternoon meal is a cup of noodles or a small portion of rice with a vegetable.  The residents always remark about getting "meat" in their lunches we serve them, so this time I decided to give them hot-dogs and picnic styled lunch.  A number of them called it "American food."   We always make it an all you can eat meal and many had seconds and thirds, but all the plates went back clean at the end of the meal.  They elected to save the ice cream we took for their 2 o'clock snack.
