This Is Bob Laing from Angeles City.  On May 15, 2008 my wife bought airline tickets on Cebu Pacific Airlines from Clark to Cebu and Cebu to Bangkok and return.  In the first days of August 2008 I received an email that our flights from Cebu to Bangkok and return have been changed.  They changed our flights departing/returning from Cebu to Manila.  On Aug 13, 2008 I called Cebu Pacific to cancel the Clark Cebu portion of our trip.  On August 15, 2008 I received an email confirming my request for a refund.  As of today Nov 16, 2008 THREE (3) months later I still have not received any refund and no response from Cebu Pacific.  I have sent more than 18 mails, called more than four (4) times (each time I was told they would email me the results of the refund) and sent more than TWELVE (12) requests for refund using Cebu Pacific's Guest Feed Back Program.  I have never received any response from Cebu Pacific concerning the status of my full refund. We went on our trip reluctantly going from Manila and return.

 

Apparently, this is the standard operating procedures for Cebu Pacific Airlines.  I have spoken to at 6 other people who told me about vast problems they experienced  in getting the airline refund. These six people told me they were treated identically  the same way  people at Cebu Pacific treated us.   Imagine, an airline say in America without contacting the customer first changing the departure/return city from say San Francisco to Los Angeles.  This is not the first time people at Cebu Pacific changed our flights.  In June 2008 we bought airline tickets for four (4) people departing/returning from Clark to Cebu.  In July 2008, without are prior communication I received another email stating that our departure date of  Wed, Aug 27, 2008 has been changed to  Fri, Aug 29, 2008.  People at Cebu Pacific did not coordinate this change with me. What would happen say I was working and needed to be a work say on Aug 28, 2008? We went on the new flight schedule  to Bangkok since we paid an inexpensive price for our airline tickets and we already purchased hotels in Thailand.

 

My wife and I both used to like Cebu Pacific; however, with their rip off business practices, if other airlines are available we will definitely not fly Cebu Pacific ever again.  I suspect Cebu Pacific airlines does this deceptive business practice since they probably figure a certain percentage of the customers will get frustrated and give up trying to get their refund.  I will never give up attempting to receive my refund.  I never made any changes in my flights.  All these ridiculous changes were made by people at Cebu Pacific.
